Blindside

Debbie and I sat and cried through "Blindside," Saturday night. While watching, I couldn't help but think it would be so neat to adopt someone like Michael and then in sudden amazement realizing we have. The story we were watching was our story - white couple adopts black son who plays football. The kid has a true heart and a gentle spirit. He loves his mom. He wears number 74. Its a true story X 2. Once for Michael Oher and once for AJ Flint. Debbie and I just couldn't believe how fortunate and blessed we are to have adopted, to have raised, to know two of the greatest, two of the kindest, two of the sweetest, two of the funniest people we have ever met.

If we were given the chance to go back in time and have our own children, but have to give up knowing Carson and AJ, we wouldn't do it. We know that this is the way its supposed to be and one of the reasons we married each other. We couldn't love two people more than we love Carson and AJ. We both know we knew these kids long before this life.
